Our client is a successful software company that develops applications for the financial markets. Their roots originate as software developers for the South African Gilts market and apart from growing in the variety of systems they now offer; they also boast an impressive and fast-growing footprint worldwide. Their ever-growing client base includes several financial institutions and stock exchanges that span from East Africa to Jamaica. This equates to a very busy support team and sees them needing to appoint an additional Tester / Software Support Consultant to ensure the smooth and trouble-free operation of clients' comprehensive software systems. Responsibilities will include manual testing of desktop and web based applications, customer support (providing professional assistance to clients on site, telephonically or via email), as well as documentation including Business and Functional Requirement Specifications, Release Notes, Test Cases, Test Scripts, User Manuals, Client Feedback Documentation, and Progress Reports to name a few. You will also be required to manage the TFS system. As such experience in Team Foundation Server is essential. You should also be well versed in MS SQL, Windows Services, and have previous experience in testing and supporting desktop and web-based software applications. The role would suit an individual who has completed a BCom Degree and/or ISTQB Certification, who is a strong communicator and is persistent in following up with deadlines. Must be computer literate and have a strong numerical ability. Knowledge of the Financial sector and experience in Automated Testing and Crystal Report Writer would be an advantage. Global Leader in Financial Market Software seeks Support and Test Analyst to perform technical and applications support on their software products. Our client has an impressive, fast growing footprint worldwide, with extensive collective knowledge in the financial markets. Their products are used by a number of stock exchanges, banks and other entities within the capital markets industry throughout Africa and the Caribbean region. They are looking to appoint a Support Analyst to provide support to customers ensuring adherence to SLA whilst working closely with the development team with the implementation and testing of new requirement to ensure software quality is of the highest standard. This will involve recording and tracking any reported operational issues or software defects on the internal AzureDevOps tracking system throughout its lifecycle until its closure. You will be required to assist the client with immediate troubleshooting and resolving issues or escalating to the dev team where required ensuring timely resolution as required by the SLA. The role also involves monitoring the day-to-day health and operational availability of the hosted infrastructure and software systems using the instrumentation provided, investigating and tending to any system generated alerts, generating incident reports and providing regular feedback to the development team and other stakeholders on the software and infrastructure performance and any issues reported by the client and the status thereof. You will be required to actively engage with the client and the development teams to assist in the troubleshooting and root cause analyses of reported issues and assist with the testing and implementation of any software fixes or updates related to the product. The successful incumbent must be willing to work shifts on a rotational basis and work the occasional late night or holiday when required.
