Our external client islooking for a Specialist System/Business Analyst and Team Leader on a 08 months contract to ensurethat the IT support is in place and available to meet the needs of the business and assumeresponsibility

Roles and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the systems/businessanalyst team lead will include the following:
1) Take responsibility for a set ofapplications that support business processes of specific line functions;
2) Continuouslyassess the relevance and value-add of the respective system(s) and recommend new solutions wherenecessary;
3) Provide user support and respond to user calls or issues logged with theHelpdesk;
4) Investigate, fix, test and migrate system bugs’ fixes through thedifferent environments;
5) Manage the migration of the system enhancements through thedifferent environments that are used as part of the test plan; and
6) Liaising extensivelywith clients (external or internal);
7) Analysing existing systems and business models;
8) Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems;
9) Understandingsoftware development lifecycle;
10) Translating client requirements into highly specifiedproject briefs;
11) Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for bothtechnical and business suitability
12) Conducting requirements analysis and preparingspecific proposals for modified or replacement systems;
13) Developing solutions and relatedproducts;
14) Producing project feasibility and costing reports;
15) Presentingproposals to clients;
16) Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a varietyof end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
17) Ensuring thatbudgets are adhered to and deadlines are met;
18) Drawing up, supervising and documentingtesting schedules for complete systems;
19) Overseeing implementation of a new systemincluding data migration;
20) Planning and working flexibly to deadlines;
21)Supporting users on change control and system updates;
22) Providing training and usermanuals to users of a new system;
23) Keeping up to date with technical and industrydevelopments.
 
Skills Requirements:
 
1) Abilityto conduct user requirements gathering sessions with different line function managers and translatethe requirements into functional specifications;
2) Have familiarity with functional designdocuments and how they translate to system functionality;
3) Have qualification andexperience in application development frameworks and methodologies
4) Have good documentationskills and ability to complete the following documentation: functional design, detailed design,database design, technical architecture design, test scripts and testing procedures and usertraining manuals;
5) Have experience in drawing business processes using tools such asMicrosoft Visio;
6) Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft technologies usedfor application development in the environment
 
7) Have a highlevel of proficiency in writing Microsoft SQL queries, including sub queries and cursors;
8)Demonstrate experience and familiarity with configuration management tools, design tools, debuggingtools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement anapplication;
9) Be able to engage in formal and informal knowledge transfer;
10) Beable to lead a team and manage project delivery;
11) Have application development/programmingexperience on a Microsoft platform and using same tools as indicated below.
12) Have abilityto communicate clearly – verbally and in written form;
13) Have ability and showwillingness to engage in formal and informal knowledge transfer;
14) Have ability to workeffectively as part of a team in support of the team’s goals;
15) Demonstrateexperience in troubleshooting and problem solving technical issues; and
16) Have deep skillsand experience in designing and implementing IT solutions.
