This position requires an experienced Desktop and LAN Support Engineer who willbe responsible for infrastructure support and administration of the Microsoft Desktop and Serverenvironment. To  provide first line support on the local area network, PC’s, printers,PABX,  and any IT related equipment ensuring connectivity for end-users to the network andsystems.
 
Qualifications:

National Diploma:Information Technology

CompTIA A+ and N+

S+

MCSE


 
Responsibilities will include:

Install, maintain, configure and support PC hardware and software in Microsoftenvironment

(MS OS Windows XP and/or Windows 7 and other versions on PC’sand laptop)

Adding, modifying and deleting of userid’s for network, e-mailand internet

License management

Install, maintain, configure andsupport MS products such as MS Exchange, MS Office etc.

Day to day management andmonitoring of Windows update services and patch management

Day to day managementand monitoring of antivirus updates and cleanups

Provide technical support to endusers

Daily Backup and recovery of e-mail, network files, servers, and themonitoring thereof

PC/laptop failure analysis and recovery; ensure faults arepunctually reported and fixed

Provide support for day to day IT operations,including IT infrastructure, CCTV, biometrics/access system, machine room (air-con, FDS, UPS),office printers, PABX, Video Conferencing and WI-FI

Liaison with supplier’stechnical support

Quotations on IT related software and hardware products

Implementation, management and adherence to IT security policies and procedures

Documentation relating to projects and systems and procedures

ITInfrastructure housekeeping and management  

IT infrastructure monitoring,capacity planning, improvement planning execution as per projects

Create, modifyand delete VPN users

Provide support for company provided cell phones
