Business Process Engineer. Leads, supports and facilitates process improvement initiatives across multiple functional units for both strategic and continuous process improvement and process automation efforts. Strategic and transformational support includes design and support throughout implementation to assure people/process/technical solutions align with strategic initiative while driving consensus among business units including process ownership and governance. Design activities include the documentation, management and oversight of end to end business process analysis assuring improved productivity, cost effectiveness, appropriate embedding of Key Performance Indicators, and appropriate controls for both regulatory and compliance considerations. Provides consultative services and analytic support to business management leveraging LEAN practices, Six Sigma methodologies and tools, capacity planning, resource allocation, work simplification, service level management, organizational design, consolidation, performance measurement systems, productivity improvement and expense control.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the definition, scoping, chartering efforts for business process analysis/design projects related to process improvement and automation initiatives assuring optimal business and functional delivery of the strategic delivery framework. This includes business process modeling, documentation of the current operating blueprint and future process solution blueprinting efforts, as well as supporting the execution of the process solution blueprint during the implementation phase.
Participate in planning sessions with business owners to improve business processes and to prioritize and drive process re-engineering initiatives including process ownership and governance.
JAD facilitation
Access and analyze processes, data points, and controls to determine sub-optimal performance, communicate findings clearly and effectively and make recommendations for improvement. Identify root causes of problems and demonstrate the ability to development and make recommendations for solutions to mitigate root cause.

Responsible for improving organizational capabilities including facilitating company growth, customer loyalty, cost reduction, improved efficiency, employee engagement and culture change through the application of high-impact business process engineering initiatives
Experience in managing projects across multi-functional teams

Participate and support business case development process to identify change execution impacts to people, process, and technology solutions to achieve business objectives
Document processes and procedures using standard methodologies and tools (ARIS).
Ensures all changes to processes are reflected in the repository of process documentation (ARIS).

Apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to identify and plan improvements (process and technology) including identifying the current process, applying best practices, and creating performance measurements.

Contribute to the design and implementation of organization-wide process-centric methodologies (i.e. Lean Six Sigma, Metrics, Goal Alignment, etc)
Drive comprehensive business process standards, analysis and measurement to assigned projects including the definition of business process modeling standards for assigned projects and evolve the Business Process Management standards of a Business Process Competency Center.

Provide process and business consultation services which include research, analysis facilitation, process modeling, and business process improvement techniques to propose and implement business and system solutions that meet strategic objectives
Interact with technical BPM-Designers and BPM-Developer where process automation options are identified.

Facilitate the business requirements to the technical teams. Assists the technical teams with business process designs guidance,
Work with BPM-technical teams, automating business processes, perform process simulations, present “to be”-process automation demos to business users, etc.
Work with customers (business and technology partners) to establish and maintain excellent working relationships, resolve issues, and promote team services and capabilities

Facilitate organizational change
Provide education and coaching on process methodologies, enterprise process leadership, and impact of recommended changes.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Business, Business Administration, Industrial/Management Engineering or IT related field, or equivalent (5 or more years) experience in Process Improvement
4 to 7 years working experience in Business Process Improvement/Automation
Expert Process modelling methods and standards
Advanced Process engineering methodologies (6 Sigma/Lean Sigma/ITIL/CMM)
Advanced Knowledge of software development life-cycle methodologies
Project Management Certification
Six Sigma Black or Green Certification would be advantageous.

Skills Requirements:

Banking or Financial Services background would be preferred
Business Process Modeling with BPMN experience
BPMN 2.0 and deep understanding of advanced business modeling concepts
Experience using ARIS as modelling tool
Analytical, Facilitation, Verbal/Written Communication skills
Present information, analysis, ideas and positions in writing in a clear and convincing manner
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and work in a matrix-type environment
Ability to foster collaboration, value the perspectives of others and gain support and buy-in for recommendations
Business architecture skills
Able to facilitate business rules mining
Working with information/ data architecture teams to identify linkages between data architecture, business and application architecture components

Will work in a business environment (banking) with strong business leaders.
Will be required to take the lead with Business Process Engineering capabilities and methodologies, and facilitate, influence, sell and contribute to business process improvement and automation opportunities.
Will be part of, and report into, a Business Process Centre of Excellence that has the objective to grow Business Process Management capabilities, methodologies, skills, etc. over time (in Business and Group Technology).
The Centre of Excellence will also be responsible for the technical delivery of the BPM-solution.
Act as the bridge between Business and Group Technology.
Work with Group Technology (Business Process Management application development teams) and facilitate business and process requirements.
Need to be self-driven. Able to work independent and as a team.
