Exciting opportunity exists for an Account Manager in the telecommunications Industry (Midrand).
R350 – R500 000 p/a plus commission

Purpose of the Job
Create, build and maintain profitable and strategic relationships with customers through excellent service to customers. To ensure customer satisfaction, recognise opportunities and maximising sales.

Qualifications
Grade 12
Sales / Marketing training and certifications
3 year’s work experience within a sales and marketing environment

Key Performance Areas
Talent Management and Development:
??Manage, monitor, allocate and schedule the movements and activities of resources under your control.
??Ensure that all administration such as annual leave, sick leave, overtime and expense claims are authorized, approved in line with Group Policies.
??Appoint and promote, where necessary, relevant resources which support the Business objectives, whilst adhering to transformation plans.
??Set regional staffs’ KPA’s and annual staff performance appraisals and assessments.
??Ensure and foster a productive Corporate culture thereby reducing staff turnover in line with general staff turnover targets.
Stakeholders (Internal and External):
??Provide inputs and support for Customer Satisfaction Surveys (NPS) which will be conducted bi-annually.
Foster and improve vendor / supplier relationships
Operational Performance:
Participation in annual business planning process including:
Providing inputs into strategic planning and overall business plan process.
Providing inputs and participate in budgeting process.
Providing inputs and participate in annual salary review process.
Participation and providing monthly input in monthly business forecasting and review process.
Manage the day to day activities in line with our Business support systems.
Upholding strict and effective SHEQ measures within the business ensuring that staff meet the requirements of relevant legislation and the Company’s Group Policies in this regard at all times.
Structure and provide regular feedback and reporting for all areas of responsibility to the MD
Growth and Profitability:
Achieve growth targets (Order Entry, Turnover, Gross Margin and PBIT) for the business.
Annalise and appraise for continuous improvement of the business.
Promote all solution offerings proactively.
Once Off Special Projects:
Assist and support the Managing Director in Special Once Off Projects to be defined on a case by case basis

Knowledge / Skills

Proven track record in sales within the ICT sector.
Solid understanding of sales metrics and methodologies.
Experience in Capital Goods selling in the voice or data fields.
Experience in the call centre and CRM markets would be an advantage.
Extensive IT knowledge with specific exposure in large accounts where solutions selling was done.

Job Specific Criteria

Actively identify and pursue potential business for the Company, in the business areas defined by the General Manager in identified existing accounts as well as potential new accounts.
Define, develop and manage relationships with key individuals in all accounts as above and ensure that the relationships with these contacts are maintained at all levels, both in the Company and in the customer organisations, as appropriate.
Ensure that sales and margin targets set for the account manager are achieved on both an individual and team basis.
Develop and implement account strategies that deliver on the objectives.
Through continuous participation in product updates, product, sales and business training and personal research ensure that skills and knowledge stays up to date.
Coordinating, communicating and integrating of business plans.
Ensure the retention of current markets and customers.
Develop strategies to identify, explore and close new business.
Take responsibility for the compiling of proposals, delivery to customer
Present the high level business requirements, business solution and pricing to customers.
Present the history of the sale and business side of the proposal in the internal project kick-off meeting.
Present the history and customer requirements in the customer kick-off meeting.
Generate and qualify leads.
Schedule sales activities.
Make sales calls to new and existing clients.
Negotiate with clients.
Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports.
Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships.
Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management.
Updating the sales forecasting (minimum of twice a week).
Ensure probabilities on deals are managed accurately and are correct.
Develop a plan (Account Plan) for each and every customer of a strategic nature.
