we are currently managing a project to migrate approx. 12 000 mailboxes to Office 365 in the Western Cape

We are looking for resources who can help with this project for 3-4 months.

Mailbox Migration & Messaging Engineer

Experience Required: 3 - 5 Years
Project Requirement: The candidate must be willing to work after hours as this will be a requirement for the project resource.

Position Requirements

A. Technical Skills


- At least 3-5 years of related IT experience in progressive roles within an organization.

- At least 2 years of operation experience in Windows 2003 and 2008 server environment.

- At least 2 years of operation experience in Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010.

- Moving mailboxes between servers.

- Creation of mail objects such as mailboxes, contacts, distribution lists.

- Supporting an Exchange 2007/2010/2013 Office 365 hybrid environment will be an advantage.

- Knowledge of border security email services (Spam, Virus, Relay).

- SMTP knowledge and understanding.

- Knowledge and experience of Power Shell scripting.

- Thorough understanding of Active Directory.

- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, including user management, delegates, and security.

- Good problem solving skills; able to breakdown complex technical issues in smaller units for resolution.

- Good understanding and operational experience of backup / recovery technologies; troubleshooting skills in network operating system and storage technologies (Windows 2003/2008, SAN), infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, etc…) and service availability management (DR & HA).

- Sound knowledge and experience in ITIL process framework such as Incident/Problem Management and Change/Release Management. (ITIL Foundation certification will be an added advantage).


B. Soft Skills


- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills; able to deliver excellent results under stressful environment and timeline.

- Analytical, possessing strong problem solving skills.

- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

- Willing to provide on-call and after-hours support as required by the project.

- Excellent communication skills; able to articulate complex technical subjects in simple and easy to understand manner.

- Customer focused with good interpersonal skill.


C. Academic / Professional Qualifications

A minimum of one of these accreditations is required:

- MCTS:Microsoft Exchange Server

- MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory

- MCSE or MCITP.
