MainPurpose of the Job       
To ensure that the Bank complies withall relevant statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements which relate to the Insurance,Financial services Industry, as well as Professional standards, Accepted business practices andInternal standards, as well as providing compliance legislative training to the companies.
Key Performance Areas        
ComplianceRisk Management

Design, implement and review compliance frameworks
Implementand review compliance structures so as to encourage a compliance culture
Design andreview/revise compliance policies and manuals.
Ensure compliance through best fitcompliance practice aligned to regulatory requirements and create awareness and provide training tostakeholders to embed a compliance culture
Identify and analyse Bank’s regulatoryrisk universe
Apply Generally Accepted Compliance Practice when monitoring and advising onthe regulatory universe
Research regulatory requirements in relation to Bank
Research, update and analyse and advise executive management and the board of changes inapplicable legislation and process involved in the implementation and compliance implications
Develop compliance impact assessments for all applicable legislation
Provide complianceadvice, services and reporting to compliance stakeholders
Evaluate current compliancepractices and identify areas of concern
Participate in the decision-making processes or,e.g. in respect of new product or new business committees
Evaluate proposals and reviewagainst compliance criteria
Compile and provide compliance related advice to management inrespect of existing and new business
Communicate the regulatory universe and risk profileto relevant stakeholders

Assurance and Monitoring
Build and Maintainstakeholder relationships
Compile Compliance Plans and Reports
Determine thecompliance reporting requirements to stakeholders and regulators / supervisors in terms ofregulatory and/or organization requirements
Determine, Manage and Maintain compliancereporting processes
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience       

BProc or LLB degree
Programme inCompliance Management
5-10 years Financial Services Industry
5-10 years ComplianceRisk Management experience within financial services


Knowledge offinancial services industry
Knowledge of long and short-term insurance legislativeframework
Compliance Management Principles and Processes
Management of theCompliance Risk Management Plans
Knowledge of Risk Management Principles
Knowledgeof Business and Legal Principles and Interpretation
Knowledge and interpretation skills ofall applicable legislation to the Insurance business and ability to communicate these at all levels.To long
