Delivery Objectives:
Programme Management Delivery
1. Manage and own the delivery of your Portfolio scope across the entire Barclays and ABSA estates in Africa, BA12 and ZA.
2. All projects and programs with plans, budgets and delivery dates delivered, with clear plans by end Jan 2016.
3. Prioritized list of programs and projects in your area.
4. Reduce cost of running your environment by 20%, for existing estate.
5. Ensure clear and concise objective wrt resources (cost and people), schedule and scope for all programmes assigned to you.
6. Deliver on all assigned programme objectives wrt resources (costs and people), schedule, scope and location (BA12 and ZA)
7. Ensure engaged sponsors, programme teams and stakeholder communities.
8. Ensure smooth transition of the programme to business as usual with a focus on continued delivery after closure.
9. Manage and own adherence to programme governance.
10. Quality assure of all programme deliverables.
11. Ensure that benefits defined in business cases are realised and that potential shortfalls or changes in the environment are highlighted to steering committees. Make recommendations to realign programmes or stop them if it becomes apparent that intended benefits will not be realised.
12. Participate in the funding negotiations for each of the initiatives under management. Ensure that separate cost centres and systems reference numbers are allocated and that all costs for the programmes are accounted for across all locations and programmes.
13. Recommend project expenses for approval within budget and up to the assigned limit. Escalate other items through to the project sponsors.
14. Review the performance of project team members against project timelines, agreed outputs and defined quality standards. Ensure that proper consequence management is put in place for poor delivery.
15. Drive a culture of proactive compliance in the function.
16. Manage and own the execution of programme scope, budget and resourcing, and scheduling in an agile way across all locations (BA12 and ZA)

Programme Management Governance
1. Ensure the development of programme update reports according to the frequencies determined by the key stakeholders for each programme. Review reports prepared for key initiatives and write the executive summaries for those programmes based on the key risks, issues and milestones. Present the reports to the programme steering committees, split across towers and locations (BA12 and ZA)
2. Ensure that all risks and issues are properly logged, classified and escalated as required.
3. Own all programme risks and issues
4. Review project risk logs to identify high impact high probability items and work with team leaders to ensure that adequate risk mitigation and risk acceptance takes place.
5. Ensure that the team maintains an adequate log of programme activities and report items to group change where required.
6. Review the work prepared or executed by members of the project teams to ensure adequate quality and completeness.

Team Development
1. Actively develop the capability of your colleagues (coach/mentor/other initiative)
2. Support the delivery of your colleagues across all applicable locations (BA12 and ZA)
3. Participate in team building initiatives
