Role details:
1. Receive and review data reports received from Striata
2. Analyse Striata reports and add additional information from the master database
3. Disseminate the data with actions to the support team (HRCC/HRAs)
4. Monitor progress and update the tracker
5. Provide ongoing progress reports to stakeholders
6. Maintain all data reports on a central repository (SharePoint)

• Perform impact analysis on data quality related problems in specific areas (i.e. Finance/Product/Systems) to identify what the impact and risks will be, on the business • Develop recommendations/proposals for the remediation of data quality issues in conjunction with Domain Stewards, Sector Stewards and Data Stewards to establish whether the changes are a quick fix or major.
• Execute data quality procedures and processes and identify and develop Data Quality drivers, controls and metrics and determine the data quality process resource requirements. Analyse and confirm data quality metrics and issues for a specific area and determine what the impact will be on the respective business area.
• Map metrics to the Data Quality Index and ensure that data quality issues are classified. Coordinate data quality activities and priorities. Outputs to deliver this accountability:
• Be the single point of contact for data quality coordination across the respective business area and information domains • Work with members of the DGO to establish and identify root causes and impact analysis of data quality related problems across allocated information domains and business areas.
• Work with project staff to plan for remediation projects to address data quality related issues in conjunction with the applicable business area's Domain Stewards, Sector Stewards and Data Stewards • Review audit reports as required on Data Quality controls and compile recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the business area.
• Participate in Data Governance Impact Analysis and Issue Resolution processes, when required especially to issues related to data quality.
• Gather and analyse the quality of data affected by controls • Gather and analyse information used to measure the business area's Maturity Level • Gather and analyse information about the effectiveness of data quality controls • Document data controls and ensure that documentation and controls are updated properly and make sure that data quality issues that have been logged are addressed and that progress of the issue is monitored and reported • Ensure that proactive data profiling/quantification is scheduled and that results are regularly reviewed, monitored and logged as issues where appropriate • Support and share knowledge with stewards regarding the analysis conducted • Participate in the identification of risks for data based on the root cause and impact analysis conducted. Communication and Liaison - Outputs to deliver this accountability:
• Liaise with Product Domain Steward and Sector Stewards continuously and assist with the preparation of Management Reporting • Build relationships with business to identify accurate Data Quality needs and agree on analysis outcomes with stakeholders • Work with other members of the DGO to align Enterprise wide Data Governance and Data Quality processes • Communicate potential issues to the Business Unit's Sector and Data Steward, who will involve the DGO as appropriate. Recommend Awareness Initiatives based on analysis conducted.
• Communicate new and changed quality requirements and business requirements to individuals who may be impacted as well as concerns, issues and problems with data to the individuals that can influence change. Data Quality Analysis Reporting - Outputs to deliver this accountability:
• Help gather information about the quality of data affected by controls and document findings of the analysis conducted on root causes and impacts to business.
• Provide feedback/status on data quality approved initiatives to address the data quality problem. Perform auditing as required of Data Quality controls and metrics and compile a status report on the findings.
• Gather and analyse information to evaluate Data Quality levels and program success. Provide Data Quality metrics to the Organization leadership.
• Capture and monitor the progress of data quality issues on the Data Quality Issue logging System and compile and publish data quality reports. Requirement: NQF Level 6: B Degree, BSC in Applied Mathematics or any Information Sciences / Informatics. 5 years' experience in data analysis • 2 years' experience in developing data standards, processes, and policies. 5 years' experience in data analysis in a Banking/Financial Industry with specific focus on banking products i.e. vehicle and asset finance, mortgage loans, etc • 2 years experience in developing data quality metrics for Banking/Financial Industry • Have worked with at least one Enterprise Application (ERP) System or similar (Ex: SAP, Oracle Financials, etc) • Worked in the data management function (Ex: data policies, data definition, metadata, Data Quality) • 5 years experience working with banking products, management reporting of non-financial and financial measurements on banking products, regulatory requirements, etc''
