Our client is a successful software company that develops applications for the financial markets. Their roots originate as software developers for the South African Gilts market and apart from growing in the variety of systems they now offer; they also boast an impressive and fast growing footprint worldwide. Their ever-growing client base includes several financial institutions and stock exchanges that span from East Africa to Jamaica. These systems are data intensive and have a number of reports. A such a need has arisen to employ an additional Report Writer, with Crystal Reports and SQL, who will be expected to maintain reports currently in place and future reports being developed. The role will involve performing various levels of data consolidation, data analysis and data management and will include creating and maintaining report stored procedures and functions, engaging in query performance analysis, debugging, optimization and tuning, and designing and deploying reports / queries to assist in data mining for business insights. The ideal candidate will have a relevant IT qualification and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Crystal Report Writing and SQL stored procedures. SSRS knowledge will be an advantage. You should be well versed in Database Management and Analysis and the SDLC lifecycle for report project delivery.
