Job Summary:
Successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of 1st line support to all clients, liaising with clients telephonically, relating to the nature of their problems and/or requirements.
- On-site desktop support to users, primarily on Windows platforms.
- Troubleshoot Hardware and Software support related issues, including peripherals.
- Document processes.
- Configure firewalls/proxies, applications and security software and general network related support.
- Provide feedback to clients with regards to the status of their calls on request.
- Liaise with clients personally, via e-mail and telephone regarding support problems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Education - A+/N+.
- Windows XP/2000/2003/Vista/7
- LAN
- WAN
- MS Office Suites
- Anti-virus
- Good knowledge of basic networking – TCP/IP (N+ level or higher.)
- Good knowledge of PC hardware (A+ level or higher.)
- Good telephone manner and people skills.
- Able to speak English & Afrikaans.
- All paperwork done in English (correct spelling / grammar usage important.)
- Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and own transport essential.
- 3+ Years work experience.
Remuneration: Negotiable depending on level of skill and experience.
