Our client is urgently looking to appoint a Support Engineer to provide technical onsite, 2nd and 3rd line support

Requirements:
• Matric and/or Technical diploma with Telecommunication background
• General IT knowledge
• Knowledge of Windows Server, XP, Windows 7, and general desktop support issues
• Genesys certification
• 3-5 years general IT and Call Centre experience.
• 3-5 Years Genesys experience.
• Maintain a document on single points of failure
• Maintaining system configuration and other system related documentation
• Maintain recovery plan
• Excellent communication skills and be able to handle difficult clients.
• Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills

Knowledge in one or more of the following would be beneficial

• Server experience
• Telephony MIS and PBX

Main Duties

As Senior engineer the resource will be required to:

• Perform 2nd/3rd line Genesys support
• Ensure calls are resolved within SLA
• Execution of operational support tasks
• Incident resolution and reporting
• Problem analysis
• Constant monitoring of systems
• Continuous refinement of system checks
• Training and mentoring of 1st and 2nd line engineers
• Provide technical input during client meetings
• Liaise with Vendors on technical issues
• Standby
