Role details:
Established brand with over 3 decades experience seeks IT Technician to join their dynamic in-house IT team. The key responsibility is to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive IT support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance. You will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate manner and provide end-user assistance where required. The role will call on your excellent communication ability, strong interpersonal skills, technical expertise, good business acumen as well as your problem solving and troubleshooting aptitude. To apply you will need a Matric coupled with Microsoft (A+, MCP, MCSE, MCITP) and ITIL Certifications as well as a minimum of 5 years desktop support experience within a corporate environment. It is essential that you are proficient at an advanced level in Windows 10 and have good working knowledge of Anti-Virus Compliance, Active Directory and user account administration. You should be able to deliver second- and third-line technical support on all systems within your area. A Computer Science Degree or diploma would be preferred.
