DevOps Engineer – Midrand – SELF Driving Cars PROJECT - R700 per hour

International end user environment with head offices based in the Midrand area is looking for DevOps Engineers looking to step out of the ordinary to join a world leading premium manufacturer working with bleeding edge tech alongside Germany’s finest Engineers.

You will be required to take a lead role in the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) and work with latest technologies and trends, which mainly include topics like Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud or Edge computing

If you have several years of experience from creating state of art CD pipelines from code commit to production deploy using the de-facto standard CI/CD tools available, are thrilled about latest technology, full of energy and ambition, hands-on and a great team player, this is the right position for you. Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or Computer Science
• 5+ years of DevOps experience
• Hands on experience using C# or similar MS technologies
• Experience in implementing Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI & CD) with Azure DevOps
• Hands on experience with Linux and Automation Tools
• Experience with Container technology and Container Orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience from practicing Configuration and Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge in the area of PaaS (Platform as a Service) and IaaS preferable experience from Azure
• Experience with: Visual Studio IDE, Web Application & Web Services Design & Deployment and REST

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop production ready business applications
• Trouble Shooting and Incident Management (if necessary, also at night or during the weekend)
• Liaise with customer, team members and external vendors
• Deploy applications in Azure (via Azure DevOps CI & CD, and with scripting and automation)
• Monitoring and operation of applications within Azure
