Job Description:
Responsible for the compliance of all Accounting controls and reporting requirements in accordance with Accounting standards and IFRS
Liaise and interface with Group and Company Financial Management and Internal and External Auditors to ensure the accomplishment of the department objectives re Reporting and Controls
Plan, control and monitor all Accounting input transactions for timeous submission, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation for ease of preparing financial reports
Review and control balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and take corrective action on reconciling items.
Manage and control the month end planner in accordance with corporate deadlines.
Assist to plan, manage & organise stock take nationally for all warehouses.
Control and manage all aspects of BTG / Altron reporting requirement including computation of Tax and Deferred tax charge, with specific emphasis to deadline dates.
Review and control weekly cash forecast submission.
Report on and monitor debtors days, collections and collection targets, debtor analysis and debtor ageing.
Responsible for monthly BBBEE reporting and maintaining the current BBBEE level.

Job Requirements:
BCom Degree in Finance a distinct requirement
Thorough knowledge of Tax Legislation and IFRS & statutory requirements
7+ years’ experience in intermediate Accounting role
Knowledge of MS Word & Advanced Excel essential
In depth knowledge of Oracle Financial modules or similar system is essential
Ability to plan and organize own and others activities bring successful closure to all tasks
Be able to make decisions within own areas of responsibility
Ability to motivate subordinates to develop to their fullest potential
Ability to lead and direct subordinates by delegating tasks to meet month-end and annual deadlines with emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
Unquestionable ethics and display of integrity.
