Technical Solutions Architect – Rivonia – Contracting rate of up to R720 per hour

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in either Information Systems, Informatics or Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
• TOGAF / Zachman Certification
• Payments experience within a banking environment

Skills and technologies
• Development: Java, Cobol
• Databases: DB2, Oracle or SQL
• Application servers: IBM WebSphere
• Integration techniques: SOAP, RESTful web services

Responsibilities:
• Develop Solution Architectures according to the Business Requirement Specification documents for implementation of new architectures
• Focus on finding solutions to meet business needs
• Provide expert advice to project teams regarding the design of major corporate systems
• Conceptual, Logical Solution Architectures to be aligned to the relevant Targets established
• Define the roadmap and establish technical direction of various strategic projects whilst focusing on the Payments space
• Build customized solutions to meet a client's unique business needs for complex changes and new architectures
• Designs may include transformational IT initiatives such as Data Centers of the Future, virtualization, Cloud, Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Desktop as a Service, IT as a Service and other domain solutions
