Maintain optimal inventory cover at all times.

Manage inbound and outbound inventory requirements.

Key Functions
(The key tasks which the need to be performed)

• Stock management and maintenance based on updated forecasts
• Efficient and proactive re-ordering of stock
• Efficient and proactive monitoring of orders
• Completion of Inventory scorecards on a weekly and monthly basis
• Monitoring Stock Turns
• Monitor supplier service level based on stock ordered vs. stock received
• Contribute to developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs
• Manage safety stock measurements (Min/Max)
• Managing outbound orders - liaise with the Logistics function to ensure full delivery to the customer
• Optimize landed cost efficiencies
• Prepare 5 year inventory projections
• Maintain item and supplier parameters and item master data in internal systems
• Plan, control, and manage computer processes and systems
• Planning Team involvement for new product launches and line extensions, responsible for all Inventory activities required by the Planning team – As per CPA
• Preparing and submitting monthly reports as well as additional reports as required by management
Person Profile: Knowledge (What the incumbent needs to know)

• Knowledge and experience in working with Qlikview and Syspro
• Knowledge of the company’s products and pricing
• Knowledge of basic project management
• Supply chain function understanding
• Knowledge of the FMCG industry
• Excel: Intermediate to advanced skills
• Numerical/ statistical analysis skills
• Knowledge of planning and forecasting processes and procedures
• Knowledge of import processes and procedures
• Understands the inventory planner role in the overall planning and forecasting process
