Our external client is looking for an IT SpecialistDatabase Administrator with Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) on a 12 months contractto ensure that the IT infrastructure is in place and available to meet the needs of the business andassume responsibilitySkills and Experience
The candidate will be part of a database administration teamresponsible for the maintenance and support of the IT infrastructure working in conjunction withother system administrators, database administrators and system maintenance personnel. It istherefore crucial that the proposed candidate have the following;
a) Database Engine;
b) Reporting Services;
c) Replication (Replication through firewalls and replication toOracle);
d) Database Log shipping;
e) Database Mirroring;
f) IntegrationServices / DTS;
g) Analysis Services;
h) SQL Scheduled jobs;
i) SQL ServerClustering;
 
j) Performance tuning;
k) Database Backup, Restore &Disaster Recovery;
l) Database Security.
m) Experience administering Oracle databaseson a Windows platform.
n) Experience managing Microsoft SQL Servers and data warehousing /business intelligence environments.
2.4 Skills Requirements
The Specialist Database Administrator will be responsible forthe leadership and management of all database administration activities on Microsoft SQL Server,Oracle, data warehouse related activities and SAP Basis.
