The Role:A permanent position exists within the Information Technology Department for Application Development Specialist at our Head Office in Sandton, reporting to the Head: Information Technology.

Design, develop and maintain applications
Key functions of the position includes
C3A2?C2A2 Design, build, test, execute system development projects
C3A2?C2A2 Follow Project Management processes and procedures when working on projects
C3A2?C2A2 Follow SLA C3A2??s when working on support related issues
C3A2?C2A2 Participate in system scoping, application architecture and system integration.
C3A2?C2A2 Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions to meet business requirements, within agreed timeframes
C3A2?C2A2 Implement new applications/systems and changes according to the accepted technical specifications
C3A2?C2A2 Database design, programming and querying on MS SQL.
C3A2?C2A2 Develop, maintain and enhance website(s) and applications on technologies such as as .Net, ASP.Net, HTML, and Microsoft SharePoint.
C3A2?C2A2 Technical knowledge transfer to other members of the team.
C3A2?C2A2 Compliance with coding and documentation standards and best practices
C3A2?C2A2 Maintain and support existing systems

QUALIFICATIONS:
3 year IT University Degree or equivalent Technical College qualification
KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE:
C3A2?C2A2 At least 5 yearsC3A2?? experience in system development
C3A2?C2A2 Exposure to and experience in IT Service Management, IT Policies, Processes and Procedures
C3A2?C2A2 Experience in Development of technical specifications
C3A2?C2A2 A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging media landscape
C3A2?C2A2 Development of mobile apps, as well as experience in graphic design will be an added advantage.
