IT Security Specialist (Information & Cyber Security) Permanent Cape Town A financialservices company in Cape Town which forms part of a large international financial group, has anopening for a skilled IT Security specialist to take responsibility for the coordination of thesecurity capabilities within the IT function.  This involves ensuring the appropriate frameworksand standards are implemented and monitored across this discipline. The role will require that theperson comes from a background of both Cyber security and information/systems security.Responsibilities: Responsibility for the appropriate and robust IT security coverage with respectto Information Security, Cyber Security and Information Systems Security Liaise with internal andexternal auditors with respect to any audit for the area, and ensure follow up pertaining to anyfindings and recommendations Drive the deployment of the relevant security policies, processes,practices, and the management and prevention of any incidents Ensure the identification of anysecurity risks, their mitigation and follow up Monitor the overall health and stability of thesecurity system, respond to alerts and manage any security-related issues and incidents Develop andenhance the IT security posture and maturity Ensure appropriate reporting for areas of coverageCollaboration with internal stakeholders regarding the subject matter and drive training andawareness to the various teams Stay abreast of developments in the market to ensure best practicesthat support the business and IT in its strategic objectives Effective integration with the largerinternational group group teams and delivery of group requirements  RoleDescription

Skills and Experience
