My client in the financial industry is looking for an outstanding Group Accountant.
Purpose of the job:
Statutory reporting, other reporting, tax compliance, head office finance functions
Main responsibilities:
Preparation of statutory financial statements , including liaising with auditors.
Preparation of income tax returns (provisional and annual returns, SARS queries)
Half-year processes.
Other head office finance functions.
Required competences:
Knowledge Skills Attributes
• IFRS
• GAAP
• Tax compliance
• MS Office • Planning
• Oral and written communication
• Systematic approach • Attention to detail
• Professionalism
• Team-oriented
• Self-motivated
Attributes:
• Ability to apply industry best practices for application architectures &
• standards
• Ability to input into innovative solutions
• Ability to work under pressure
• Self motivated and a self-starter
Other requirements
The candidate should be in possession of an accounting qualification, i.e. B Comm or similar
Articles would be an advantage
At least 5 years working experience
