The Java Team Lead must work together with Business Analysts, UX & Content Teams and managers to understand the overall business needs and the requirements. Design the system solution using various approaches and technologies. Implementation of the designed solution with high quality source code.

The Java Team Lead will support the projects throughout the project life-cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, release and post release support. The Java Team Lead must be technically able to support and maintain the deployed applications. The Principal Software Engineer must also guide and mentor junior developers and team members.

Requirements
• An excellent working understanding of the Java (Java-EE) programming language and syntax,
• Experience with the Java Spring Framework projects and Spring Boot,
• Deep understanding of web services SOAP and REST,
• Deep understanding of ORM frameworks, JPA/ Hibernate,
• Experience in HTML / HTML5 / PHP / JSP / JavaScript/ Angular/ CSS,
• Practical experience with any of following databases: Postgres, MySql, MS SQL, Oracle,
• Minimum 10 years development experience in JAVA,
• Minimum 3 years in a design or solution architecture role,
• Exposure to OO (Object Oriented development practices),
• Experienced in Solution Architecture/Design skills
• Use Case Modelling and Solution Documentation
• BSc/Bcom degree in Computer Science or relevant field

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging,
• Perform accurate development estimation,
• Produce technical specifications and designs,
• Mentor and guide junior developers,
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications,
• Troubleshoot and debug applications,
• Perform UI tests to optimize performance,
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications,
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic,
• Gather and address technical and design requirements,
• Provide training and support to internal teams,
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

Qualifications
• IT related Degree or equivalent preferred
