Impact of the position
As part of ourtransformation, one of our key areas of focus is the modernization of our go-to market activities.The Digital team is a newly formed organization with a charter to accelerate transformation into adigitally enabled distributor that provides consumption and subscription based services to themarket along with the traditional businesses. This team is at the forefront of establishing a newmarket engagement model leveraging modern technology and big data and analytics to drive impactfuldemand response and targeted sales coverage. 
 
The Azure teamconsists of highly capable individuals that drive Microsoft wins on the latest cloud and moderndevelopment technologies. As a Product Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be to engagewith customers, sales and product units to understand the business’s needs, and then designcustomer business solutions that leverage Microsoft Azure.
You will be the principle advocatefor Azure in the organization and will drive adoption and market awareness of the Azure valueproposition. In addition to senior level interaction with our customers, the Azure ProductSpecialist will be a sought-after subject matter expert by our sales and product teams for theirknowledge of Azure partner programs and sales strategies. Product Specialists will work with theorganizations counterparts to help educate them on Microsoft cloud offerings, positioning and jointselling strategies. You will also provide expertise on the business and technical value ofMicrosoft’s public cloud offerings versus the competition.
 
What success looks like to us?

Actas the key sales contact for our Sales and Product teams with potential customers 
Ensure maximum customer satisfaction
Provide relevant information regarding products interms of their features and benefit
To timely and accurately handle customer queries andquotations
Create specific pricing and service structures for each client in allocateddatabase
Negotiate pricing with clients and close sale on agreed price
Provide theclient with delivery estimated delivery times and order status information
Facilitate allnecessary documentation required for transactions and licensing agreements
Manage theclosed sale including the financial transaction and the provisioning thereof
Maximiseprocurement of product from the organization and seek opportunistic sales on customer calls
Analyse customer profile of sales against the company’s products. Close gaps and introducenew product lines.
Demonstrate aspects of the technical and business solution to customersover Skype for Business.   
Contribute to customer-facing publications suchas whitepapers 
Conduct group and one-on-one trainings across the Center on subjectsof expertise  
Meet and exceed team-level monthly, quarterly and annual targetsfor net-new revenue and sales pipeline, as well as operational metrics 
Constantlyresearch and educate self with the newest developments in cloud capabilities and pricing for bothMicrosoft and competitor
Build an awareness of the cost, revenue implications, marketconditions and actions to ensure sustained competitive advantage in volatile marketplace. 
Hold weekly pipeline management meetings and monthly account review meetingsand quarterly management reviews.
Displays a shared vision of the organizationalenvironment and is effective in mimicking this environment.
Champions a commitment culturein the organization.

 
What we are looking for?
 
Education and Experience




2-6+ years of technology relatedsales or business development experience; Experience working within a technical sales environmentpreferred.  
Broad knowledge of and ability to explain key end-user scenarios andtechnical architecture in the public cloud infrastructure and management spacerequired  
Three-years sales experience selling to large corporate customers and/orchannel partners(preferred)
Knowledge of the processes critical in support ofsales and channel development
 

Account management experience with customer references
 

An understanding andpassion for cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends 
 

Major or minor incomputer science, commerce or marketing. Experience in one of these relevant fields is a bonus
 

 
Proven track record of outstanding performance and achievinggoals

Competencies



Working knowledge on one of the following: Software design or development,Application Design; Systems Operations / Management; Database
architecture;Virtualization; IP Networking; Storage; IT Security; Linux 
Working knowledge ofidentity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance and how they factor into cloud andhybrid solutions preferred  
Understand cloud deployment and adoptionplanning 
 

Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations and managementof technology.
