The successful candidate will be responsible for developing applications and software using the programming language Java. A Java developer is a specialized type of programmer who may collaborate with web developers and software engineers to integrate Java into business applications, software, and websitesKey Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Designing, implementing and maintaining Java-based applications.
• Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Writing testable, scalable and efficient code.
• Test and debug new applications and updates.
• Maintain up to date code documentation.
• Participating in code reviews.

Preferred Qualification and Experience

Qualifications:

• Must have completed Matric
• Relevant IT certificate / diploma or equivalent

Skills/ Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 - 6 solid years ‘experience in software
• Development – Java/J2EE development
• Java 8, Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Hibernate, JavaScript and Angular Framework
• REST, SOAP, JMS, CI & CD (Jenkins/Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence, Git, etc.)
• Kubernetes, Docker
