Because of the distance (and time differences) they are looking for an individual, based in South Africa, who will form part of this team with a focus on supporting their operations outside of North America. You will provide level 1-2 support to end users and will need to prioritise and apply the escalation procedure when issues are not resolved. As such you will need to have a good knowledge of IT trends. To apply you should have Matric coupled with a relevant IT / Network Administration related qualification with cybersecurity certificates. Your 5+ years’ experience should include strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies including EDR/NDR/Web security/Email security and solid experience as a Networking Administrator in a multi-server environment and in-depth knowledge of networking technologies including HP Switches, Routers, Firewalls (Cisco & FortiNet), Wireless APs, Layer 2-3 network equipment, DHCP, DNS, and WAN/LAN security procedures. You will need to have a strong technical aptitude and experience with a wide variety of technologies. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills (fluent English - written and verbal) and a strong customer and quality focus. It would be an advantage if you are fluent in French. This position would suit someone with a strong analytical aptitude and good problem-solving capabilities with the ability to rapidly learn and evaluate new tools and technology when required. If this describes you and you are looking for an environment where you will be able to develop professionally and build a rewarding career, then please send your CV without delay to Bridget.lydall@btgrecruit.co.za
