Role details:
An external clientin Sandton is looking for a Desktop Support Technician for a 6 months' contract. The successfulcandidate will provide first and second line technical support on all workstations within thearea

Responsibilities:

Deliver first and second line technicalsupport on all workstations within area of service.
Responsible for upgrading andmaintaining end-user software versions and equipment.
Deliver first and second linetechnical support on all workstations within area of service
Co-ordinate, install, set upand complete departmental moves with regards to IT equipment
Effective and efficienthandling of assigned incidents
Maintenance of all hardware on workstations
Schedule standby for after hour support
Identify financial and business risks to thecompany and escalate accordingly.
Ensure end user satisfaction with excellent service withregards to assigned incidents.
Professional and efficient communication to relevantstakeholders.
Support effective teamwork
Engage with appropriate traininginterventions to promote own professional development.
Share and transfer of product,process and system knowledge.

Minimum Requirements:

3+Years relevant experience
Matric (Grade 12)
A+/N+
MCSE/MCP/ITIL will bean advantage
