Job Purpose
To be the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your technical domain by providing solutions and advice to business across multiple complex problem sets, working with vendors to improve IT technical domain solutions as well as providing support to junior staff

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Provide operational maintenance and production support including consultation, facilitation and implementation of Technical domain functionality
- Prioritise remediation with all stakeholders.
- Prepare tactical remediation technical plans and related schedules per intervention per country.
- Align SA delivery and execution functions to the tactical requirements of Rest of Africa countries and their in-country technical abilities.
- Prepare detail remediation and improvement project plans and schedules and agree and sign off with stakeholders (including resourcing and budget).
- Responsible to execute the strategy for one or more Products or Service including the development and maintenance of the buy, hold, sell status of each
- Execute the Product Strategies as per the lifecycle processes
- Execute the technology Products & Services designs and specifications
- Research, evaluate and build efforts in support of product strategies
- Translate cross LoB requirements and demand into product strategies
- Ensure capacity instrumentation is engineered into their products and that robust operational capacity processes are established by the relevant service delivery organisations supporting them.
- Collaborate with other product engineers for supporting and dependent technologies to ensure that products and services are engineered and fully tested to deliver complete and holistic service,
- Develop and maintain technical designs, specification, deployment and operations guides in support of product strategies and in accordance with the iGSC defined solution development lifecycle
- Liaise with vendors to ensure that the best value is obtained from their skills and expertise and that configuration is optimal and meets firm standards.
- Deliver a maintenance plan for all products to ensure version and patch levels are maintained to defined standards

Preferred Qualification and Experience
• Certified Data Centre Professional
• Certified Data Centre Specialist
• Microsoft Certified Systems Admin
• Project Management (PMBOK, Prince 2, Agile)
• Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Management
• N5 Electrical Engineering

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
• Will have to give input into the Data Centre Road Map for RoA, specifying product selection, tracking of the life cycle of products.
• Assisting country with setting up of SLA and Maintenance agreements between country and vendors.
• Monthly MIS Reports
• Distribution and training of Data Centre policies and procedures
• Ability to deal with all levels of the business and technology stakeholders across large organizations.
Be able to investigate IT facility outages and advise on restoring services.
Coordinate weekly stakeholder meetings with countries
