Vacancy exists for a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst based at our Midrand offices on a permanent basis.



Purpose of role:

The SOC is a 24/7 Operations Monitoring Centre. The purpose of the position is to use the SIEM monitoring systems to identify security threats to SOC Customers and to compile daily reports and to investigate security events and perform escalations as and where necessary.



The successful candidate will be expected to work shifts on a 24 hour basis and on weekdays and weekends. The overall working hours per week will equate to a normal 45 hour work week.





Critical Requirements:



•Minimum 2 years’ experience in either a call centre environment or DOC/NOC/SOC as an operator or engineer.

•Good basic knowledge on

•Malware and controls in general


•Firewalls


•UTM devices


•IPS


•NAC


•SIEM software


•Good desktop PC technical skills


•Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel



•A+ N+ S+


•Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) experience.


•Formal RSA Security Analytics administration and operator training (preferred)
