IT and Support Manager – Johannesburg TheRole:
My client in Johannesburg is looking for an IT and Support Manager to lead andsupport dynamic and growing team.
Responsibilities:
Duties andresponsibilities
Managing the application support, hosting, infrastructure and ITteams;
Assisting with technical issues as required;
Assessing and managing teammember performance;
Identifying opportunities for team training and skillsadvancement;
Managing and reporting on team budgets, including hosting, IT, support andrelated costs;
Developing and implementing IT, support, hosting and infrastructure policiesand best practice guides for the organization;
Identifying and acting on opportunities toimprove and update software, systems and processes;
Conducting regular network security anddata security audits;
Running and sharing regular operations reports with seniorstaff;
Providing technical advice to other teams, including implementation, development andsales;
Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including systemupdates, upgrades, migrations and outages;
Providing technical direction for IT supportteam;
Managing escalation from team members, clients and other staff members;
IT Manager Job qualifications and requirements:
5 years IT/Support industryexperience;
Management experience and/or qualification advantageous;
InformationTechnology Degree or Computer Science Degree essential
