Role DescriptionShared Services Finance Manager – Western Cape Permanent Position based in Century City, CapeTown Salary : Market Related The official title for this position is Head: finance SharedServices – Western Cape. The focus of this role is people management as well as implementationof the given financial processes ensuring the effective functioning of the Finance Shared ServicesTeam in the Western Cape. With this role being in a Shared Services, it will give you exposure tomany different businesses across different businesses. There are more existing business whichwill be joining the shared services division for their financial transactions during the course ofthis year and the years to come, so this position will continue to grow into a larger role with alarger team and with greater responsibility. Management and Development of the Shared Services Team(currently 8 staff including 3 interns). Maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders,including Corporate Finance, Softworx Project Team, the BU Finance Managers, BU Heads and Auditors.Ensuring compliance with the stated Finance Functions Policy document. Weekly Review of AccountsPayable Ageing and GRINYA report for all BU’s. Monthly Review of Bank Recons, GL Recons, VATrecons and EMP returns. Review of vendor reconciliations and ensuring the queries are resolvedtimeously. Cashflow Management through the transferring of funds to and from central treasuryaccounts. Designated individual for the “2nd release process” of all banking payments tovendors. Point of contact for Auditors for all internal Cape Town BU’s during the respectiveaudits. Oversight of the completion of the Finance Packs for the Cape Town BU’s
Skills and Experience
Requirements The position requires a candidate with the following: Minimum requirement is aB.Comm (Financial Accounting). Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience managing a team in ahigh-volume finance processing environment. Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a financialaccounting environment with sound understanding of accounting standards and processes. Systemsexposure to an ERP system and business banking platforms, with preference will be given tocandidates with Infor LN and Standard Bank Business Online experience Person Specifications Goodcommunication skills at all levels. Attention to detail and high accuracy levels.
