Role details:
Key Responsibility
•Analysis of requirements, software systems, applications, databases and software environments.
•Facilitate workshops with different line functions to obtain optimal solutions with regard to application performance.
•Co-ordinate specification approval with all relevant line functions and products owners.
•Create and maintain system specifications and documentation.
•Provide inputs into project plans, activities and research actions
•Developing a cost/benefit analysis and business case for new requirements
•Preparing documents with the proposed priorities and budgets for approval by management.
•Responding to project requests for changes within an agreed timescale
•Ensuring that the Software Development Life Cycle is adhered to
•Ensuring that the Change Management standards are adhered to
•Adherence to the Teamtrack and ChangeManDS processes for all development and work requests
•Post implementation reviews
Job Requirement, Skills & Knowledge:
•An IT degree or diploma
•At least 5 years experience in Systems Analysis, design and Systems Architectures as well as relational databases such as MS SQL 2000/2005 and Oracle
•At least 5 years development experience (.Net and Java)
•Knowledge of research techniques
•Understanding of IT fundamentals and terminology
•An understanding of Financial services environment will be an advantage
•MS certification would be an added advantage.
