Troubleshoot applicationdeployments, recreate customer issues, build proof of concept applications
Write and interpretconfiguration scripts for customer environments to install programs, configure logging, and modifyconfiguration files using DSL
Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failurepatterns and suggesting fixes
Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide uniquesolutions to our customers' individual needs
Leverage your extensive customer supportexperience to provide feedback (Voice of the Customer) to internal AWS teams on how to improve ourservices
Drive customer communication during critical events
Drive projects that improvesupport-related processes and our customers technical support experience
Write tutorials,how-to videos, and other technical articles for internal and customer communities
Work oncritical, highly complex customer problems that will span multiple AWS services

Bachelorsdegree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Maths/Physics or equivalentqualifications.
3+ years of experience in a technical position.
Systems administration (Linuxand/or Windows Servers)
Familiarity with one or more version control systems (SVN, Perforce,TFVC, Git, MS Team Foundation)
Experience building or managing applications from the Applicationlayer down
Understand the complete deployment lifecycle from design, build, test,deploy
Coding ability (Java/Tomcat, .NET, Ruby, Python, Node.js, PHP)
Networking (DNS, TCP/IP,HTTP, SSL)
Support / Troubleshooting experience
Excellent oral and written communicationskills
Customer service experience / strong customer focus
Strong multitaskingskills
Self-starter who is excited about technology
Open to working non-standard hours (nonight shifts) including a Sun-Mon or Fri-Sat weekend



Scripting experience (Ruby,Python, Bash, Powershell)
Chef, Puppet, Jenkins or any build automation deploymentexperience
DevOps background
Database experience (PostGres, MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer)
Session management (Memcached, Redis)
Exposure to Virtualization (VMware, Xen,Hypervisor)
Expertise with IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH,Network Monitoring / Troubleshooting tools
Exposure to Cloud computing
Exposure to securityconcepts / best practices.
