Our client is in a process inrecruiting for a Senior Network Administrator to be based in Isando, to provide day - to -daynetwork admin and support in a multi - type network environment.Responsibilities 

Manage security solutions,including firewall, and intrusion detection systems.
Ensure wireless standards are inaccordance’s of Barloworld Policy
Maintain all clients Wireless solutions
Design and maintain all of the clients Network and Wireless solution as per standards.
Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches and other NetworkDevices
Ensure reliable network connectivity to all of the network.
Administer allequipment, hardware and software upgrades.
Perform network design and capacityplanning.
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards insupport of network procurement and development efforts.
Interact and negotiate withvendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
Develop,implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resourceadministration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
Practice network asset management,including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technicalspecifications information.
Establish service level agreements with end users.
Administer and maintain end user permissions, and access rights to the network.
PerformNetwork backups and recovery.
Monitor and test network performance and provide networkperformance statistics and reports.
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements,upgrades, and repairs.
Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
Manage ISP and internet connections
Maintenance of network facilities, VPN gateways,intrusion detection systems

Experience Areas

5years’ experience in network administration for networks with 50 WAN links or more.
3years’ experience in IT Project Management with specific focus on network and wirelessprojects
3 years’ experience working in the IT industry.
Experience innetwork operations, applicable standards, governance structures and frameworks.
Solidunderstanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
Proven experience in planning, organization, and development.
Ability to engage withSenior Level positions
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Goodnegotiation skills.

Minimum Requirements

Appropriate IndustryCertification/Diploma in Information Technology
Project Management Certification
CCNP Wireless
CCIE Routing and Switching
Fortigate Firewalls NSE4
ITIL
