To analyse and interpret system events and design and develop new systems or modify, enhance and adopt existing systems to improve business efficiency and to meet client requirementsKey Deliverables / Primary Functions
• Examine existing IT systems, analyse and identify system requirements. This is achieved by mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems, identifying options for potential solutions and assessing both technical and business suitability, conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.
• Design and develop solutions aligned to client’s requirements, produce project feasibility and costings reports, and present proposal to clients.
• Collaborate with IT teams and developers to produce systems.
• Validate changes by testing systems.
• Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures, providing references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation.
• Provide help desk support and train users.
• Prepare technical reports according to business specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with current technologies and technical developments

Qualifications
Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) in Information Technology or Computer Science
Alternatively, Grade 12 (NQF 4) with relevant IT Certification

Certification/ Professional Registration
Systems Analysis Certification or similar

Experience
3 years’ experience in software development and documentation / systems analysis

Special Requirements
Willing to work extended hours / after hours
Ability to cope under pressure
