Prestigious company based in Bloemfontein is looking for aDesktop Support Engineer on a contract until December 2017. The candidate must be in possession of a3 year tertiary qualification (National Diploma in IT) and at least 5 years’ experience in theDesktop Support environment
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric, (Std 10 / Grade 12)

Certification in technologies (A+, N+,MCSE).

3 years Tertiary Qualification (National Diploma in IT).

Good language proficiency in English

Valid SA Drivers Licence (EB+)

ITIL Foundation

Remote support

Experience in CallLogging System

Wireless configuration

Installing &Collecting of equipment


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain computer equipment (PC, Notebooks, Mobile devices) and peripheral hardware population onthe campuses

Support, load and maintain operating systems, application ware andsoftware as stipulated in background section.

Service and maintain specialequipment like OMR (optical mark readers) utilized at the Assignments section or Examinations andlaser scanners in use at Despatch. 

Maintain and support MFD’s and alldesktop printing.

Maintain, setting up and support on mobile busses in ruralareas.

Installation and support on IP telephones. (Regions)

Support of network infrastructure. (Regions)

Support on video conferencing.(Regions) 


 
SKILLS/EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:

Experience supporting the following Microsoft technologies:Microsoft Operating systems (OS) e.g.   Windows 10, 7 & XP, Microsoft Office (Word,Excel, Outlook, Access, Projects, PowerPoint, etc.)

Support knowledge on allMicrosoft based products used on campus (as per background)

Support to CorelOffice users (Word Perfect, Excel, Presentations, etc.)

Able to configure andmaintain desktop printers. (Local and Network MFD’)

Good interpersonalskills are a necessity. Similarly are well-developed telephone support skills essential.

The person should be able to work under pressure, independently and without supervision.

The person must have an analytical & technical nature in order to determine theunderlying reason for a particular problem

Must have knowledge of Server,Networking, VoIP
