Job Purpose: This role is required to provide comprehensive financial and management reporting across areas such as monthly reporting, budgeting, sales forecasting, performance management and business case preparation. It is both a strategic and a tactical position. The ideal candidate must be an ambitious, analytical and a highly commercial individual, who has the gravitas to lead and influence the business.
Essential Job Responsibilities :

Monitor the profitability of each product and make recommendations to the Top Management for price increase or cost reduction / diversification of sourcing
Keeps track with developments in all area of the business especially in the area related to Margin Analysis, Trade and consumer spend, overhead and currency fluctuation
Implement and Monitor the Promotion Evaluation Process
Support Sales and Marketing team to prepare the Promo Evaluation template.
Carry out financial evaluation of any existing or new projects
Carry out budget control to ensure that sales/costs are in line with agreed limits/targets. Ensure that the needed action is communicated to the budget responsible persons
Responsible for monthly review of correctness and completeness of trade spend and marketing spend accruals.
Analyse the product portfolio and recommend / facilitate course of actions (replace / improve) for any value destroying stock keeping unit (SKUs)
Support special project studies on new businesses, Co-packing & Co- manufacturing with long term profitability studies.
Prepare and analyse the channel Profitability and customer contribution statement
Prepare and analyse the monthly GP variance
Control and Monitor the trade and consumer spend.
Regularly interact with Category/Brand Team, Shopper Marketing, Sales Admin Department (for sales), Planning and reporting, Finance Managers, Supply Chain Controllers, Demand Planners to exchange strategy and financial information. On some occasions, networks with Regulatory Affairs, Packaging, and Quality departments.
Analyse and project the companys Net Revenue.
Analyse variance between actual sales vs plan in terms of volume and value.

Qualifications :

 

Minimum of Bachelors degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or other related courses.
Qualified Accountant (ICAN, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
Minimum 8 years' Commercial Finance experience
Proficient in SAP, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
