Leading manufacturer based in Jhb North seeking Senior SQL DBA. Candidates should have relevant degree in IT / Computer Science or similar and 5+ years' experience in a Database Administration role, specializing in technologies within the SQL stacks...Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Daily system health checks and Database reporting to Management
• Participate or lead development of smaller projects and ensure their timely delivery
• Participate and contribute in the team’s development process.
• Work with technical contacts from other teams or external partners on integration projects
• Mentor less experienced members of the team in technology and processes
• Keep abreast with latest developments in Database technologies and share knowledge with the team
• Act as a liaison between the Database Administration staff, project development staff and functional team

The Ideal Candidate should possess the following:
• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent SQL Server Database certifications
• Minimum 5 Years Database Administrator Experience on MS SQL Server versions 2008 R2/2012/2014
• Minimum 3 Years’ Experience in T-SQL
• Excellent problem solving and resolution skills, the ability to quickly develop domain knowledge, business acumen, strong teamwork skills necessary
• Initiative and commitment to delivery, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances is essential as well as being able to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and planning, organizational, and risk management/risk mitigation skills
• Strong work ethic and drive for results
• Ability to work alone as well as in a team

Reference Number for this position is CN38137 which is a permanent position based in Johannesburg North offering a salary of R600K – R800K CTC per annum negotiable.
