ICT Network Administrator: Service Delivery and Support
Salary: R288 135 per annum (excluding benefits) (Ref. 123/2015)
Pretoria
Purpose:
To provide technical ICT support services through the resolution of incidents and problems as well as the performance of maintenance on the ICT Infrastructure.

Key Outputs: Resolve incidents and problems related to area of responsibility in line with SLAs
Conduct maintenance, record and report any anomalies
Monitor and test network performance, provide performance statistics and report deficiencies on capacity, availability and continuity
Configure networks to ensure a smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of network devices, escalate problems where necessary
Support existing Cisco-based routing, switching and wireless environment
Implement change requests and update configuration baselines
Collaborate with business to identify ICT requirements
Develop ICT technical and functional specifications for implementation
Secure organisational network by developing and managing network access procedures
Evaluate, monitor and control access rights
Maintain the ICT knowledge base with identified problems and relevant solutions
Requirements:
A degree/National Diploma in Information Technology
At least 2 years relevant experience
Certifications related to specialization, eg Microsoft certification, CCISP would be an added advantage
Knowledge of the following equipment and systems is required:
- Network Infrastructure and tools (CISCO)
- Security (Checkpoint, Symantec Antivirus, SOFOS Safeguard)
- Microsoft Applications (AD, Exchange, F&P Services, SharePoint, SCOMS, SCCM, Desktop OS, Server OS and SQL)
- Storage Infrastructure (SAN, DAS, and NAS)
- Backup and Archiving (CommVault)
- Virtualisation (VMWare and Hyper-V)
- Database (SQL, TSQL, Report Services, SSIS).
