Datacentrix is an integrated,service-orientated ICT systems provider that operates across the entire information value chain. Thecompany is currently looking for an exceptional Desktop Support Engineer and this comes with a lotof pressure at times

2.  Purpose of Role: To provide onsite application supportrelating to a factory production environment.
 
3.  Primary Role Accountabilities:

·         End User Support in a factory environment
·         Application trouble-shooting / support
·        Liaise with external resources(3rd Party Management) to facilitate resolution of 3rdparty Incidents


Assist in troubleshooting Incidents and action ServiceRequests logged for the Flexnet environment (Incident Management / Request Management)
Assisting with troubleshooting incidents on all qualified Factory Applications
Abilityto do root cause analysis and troubleshooting across systems to resolve incidents

4.  Critical Requirements - Skills,  Experience &Qualifications:

·         Matric or Grade 12 Essential
·         A+ or N+ or studying towards an ITQualification
·         Desktop Support Skills (Intermediate to Senior)
·         MCSE/MCP/MCITP would be beneficial
·        Proven experience in providing IT support in thecontext of an Industrial Automation (IA) / Factory Production environment
·         Proficient in Windows 7, Windows server (ActiveDirectory) and MS-Office suite
·         Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
·         Must be able to cope under pressure
·        Must be punctual, disciplined and dedicated toeffectively execute job requirements keeping in mind INTERNAL and CUSTOMER HR and ITpolicies
·         Ability to do troubleshooting across systems (IT and IA) to resolveincidents


Must be able to work independently.
Self-driver,go-getter attitude.
Ability to work well in a team context


After hourssupport based on shift schedules
Previous exposure to supply chain management processesbeneficial
Willingness to support multiple application systems that are part of theecosystem in the factory


Willing to work in a factory environment
Willing to work in a shift environment
Passionate about quality of servicedelivered
ITIL exposure beneficial (Service delivery focused)
Needs to be able towork at heights and pass an annual medical exam
