Vacancy exists for aStrategic Sales Executive (Risk) to be based in Johannesburg on a permenentbasis.
 
Responsibilities:

 

Collaborateswith field Account Executives to sell specified software, solutions and/or services to current andprospective customers.
Initiates and supports lead generation activities.
Integrates strategy into overall account plan.
Qualifies leads by analyzing businessdrivers and technical fit.
Uses expert domain knowledge to fulfill a wide range of requestsfor information from prospective customers.
Qualifies opportunities according toestablished process.
Develops opportunities by managing and influencing requirements togain competitive edge.
Creates and presents sales proposals and systems solutions tosuccessfully communicate the value of the company’s products and services. Leverages pre-salesengineering resources as appropriate.
May prepare standard quotes and proposal informationas needed.
Communicates with other departments to create and finalize contracts and settime schedules for services.
Facilitates closure of complex sales.
Assists withpricing negotiations and licensing questions.
Post-close, transitions customer toProfessional Services for design/deployment.
May monitor customers to track satisfactionlevels and to discover additional revenue opportunities.
May assist Product Marketingand/or Research and Development by providing information for future product direction.
Accounts are typically mid-sized to large and complex.
Implements new sales initiativesand methodologies.
May train and/or mentor less-experienced staff
Advancedknowledge of specific industry segment or solution set
Excellent knowledge of SAS productsin specified solutions area
Working knowledge of company pricing and licensingprocedures
Knowledge of advanced sales techniques
Excellent knowledge of hardwareand/or software acquisitions cycles and buying influences
Advanced skill in analyzing andevaluating territory dynamics and developing sales plans
Expert skill in communicatingtechnical and business concepts and relating them to SAS applications and user needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and aspart of a team
Ability to travel as required


Requirements:
 

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, MIS, or other relevantdiscipline

Requires a minimum of eight years of experience in the sales,marketing, or technical support of computer software solutions (including related training productsand services), computer hardware, or telecommunications software/hardware.

Specific industry-related experience may be considered in combination with the aboverequirements.
