ROLE: Sales and Relationship Manager

REPORTS TO: Head of Sales

LOCATION: Johannesburg


SUMMARY

A driven, confident and motivated person with a firm understanding of the Investment industry is required to join the Sales and Relationship Management Team. This person will be responsible for maintaining, retaining and growing the IRESS Johannesburg client base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

? Prospecting/cold calling.
? Relationship management.
? Provide buffering for support when dealing with serious production issues.
? Leverage relationships to uncover sales opportunities.
? Own responsibility for driving the sales cycle with the objective to win new business, including;
- Responding to RFPs
- Organizing customer demonstrations & presentations
- Proposal creation & presentation
- Preparing, negotiating and closing contracts
- Collection of license fees, when escalated to by Accounts
? Achieve revenue targets as defined in the Sales Plan.
? Build a sales pipeline for IRESS
? Execute the Sales strategy.
? Drive revenue through sales to new and existing customers.
? Build business in both new and existing client bases through proactive customer contacts in order to meet/exceed targets.
? Ensure implementation and hand over of solutions to support.
? Achieve account penetration by customer base expansion and cross selling to new and existing customers.
? Maintain relationships with the various divisions internally.
? Maintain client relationships from the ground to “C-Level” within clients base.
? Be prepared to travel regularly across client base.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

? Must have at least 5 years exposure to Financial Services (specifically Investment Management Industry)
? Must have full understanding of the investment industry and process
? Must have a working knowledge of exchanges and multiple instrument types
? Must have relevant 3 Year Degree or Diploma
? Must have the ability to instil confidence
? Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills
? Must be driven to reach sales targets
? Must be able to self-manage
? IT background is preferable
