To provide specialist advise and consultation to multiple products ; identify and resolve most complex issues related to multiple products and be the final point of resolution before consulting externally. To create and/or maintain and communicate documentation of all processes; procedures and standards that enable multiple products and its application within Nedbank. Develop optimum solutions that meet both business and technology requirements . Design Technical Solution relating to multiple products .

Responsibilities - To provide consulting and deep technical expertise specifically for data warehousing, business intelligence and advanced analytics
- The Technical Specialist Product Specialist in Group Data Services provides technical thought leadership and consulting in the area of data, information and analytics
- This requires an expert understanding how data and information is handled at an enterprise level within the organisation specifically to support integrated decision support, advanced analytics as well as cognitive analytics
- The role also requires that all outputs are in compliance with current governance and legislation.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Minimum Experience Level
10- 15 years experience in IT environment ,at least 3 years in senior role from feeding career streams, least 3-5 years specialising on specific product with proficient understanding in multi products
BSC/Bcomm Degree in Information Technology
SAS Certification
Skills:
- ETL training and experience (Data Stage, Ab Initio, Informatica, SAS DI Studio, Base SAS)
- Programming and query languages: R, Python, Map Reduce, XML, JSON, SQL, Fluid Query, Cobol, JCL
- Enterprise architecture training and understanding of relevant frameworks such as Zachman and Togaf.
- Knowledge and experience in data modelling including Kimball and Inmon principles. Data vault and data cataloguing understanding and knowledge will be an advantage.
- Ab Initio training and experience
- Cognitive Analytics training and experience
- Database system knowledge including:
- DB2
- Oracle
- SQL
- Netezza
- Understanding of cloud ready database technologies such as IBM DashDB
- Container technologies such as Docker or equivalent
- Knowledge and understanding of Big Data platforms for Hadoop
