The Analytics Centre of Excellence delivers a Business Intelligence and reporting service that is customer-centric, cost effective and of high quality for the Group IT and the organisation at large. To continue to utilise the full functionality of the deployed technologies and to further implement new solution, the solutions needs to be fully supported and optimised. The environment is already running on various BI platforms such as SAS visual analytics, SSRS and etc... And our solutions need to follow suite, as a result we need to develop new solutions in line with our BI strategy looking at following:
Analytics
Self-service BI
Real time reporting
Mobile BI.

The following skills and competencies are required. The company should have the capability to implement the following:One SAS Administrator (Specialist)
The BI solutions architect will determine the optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source systems and moving it to the ACoE Data warehouse. This will involve understanding all of the source systems, application architectures and DBMSs. The person in this role will design and implement the infrastructure used by ETL specialists on specific projects. This work will include constant refinement and or optimising activities to standardize and implement new functionality. This also involves the establishment and enforcement of a concise series of technical standards for the deliverables of individual projects. The architect will provide input to the long-term technology planning. The architect will assists and do knowledge transfer ETL developers and support team during the course of their projects.
Define the architecture of the BI solutions (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfil businesss BI requirements/demands. Includes but not limited to:
A breakdown of the solutions into components,
The component interactions and or interfaces
The technologies and data sources to be used in the design.
Avoid implementation issues and readily permit unanticipated extensions/modifications in future stages (reusability)
Developing specific data structure
Determine the optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source system platforms and moving it to the BI.
Implement the ETL infrastructure used at a project level.
Establish and enforce technical standards for deliverables of projects.
