The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Reporting team to ensure maintenance of all Financial Reporting Systems, Data Management (SAP, BI, BPC etc.) and delivery of required reporting to Shareholders and Exco. Additional focus will be to assist in Financial year end preparation and management of Annual Financial Audit and creation of Financial Statements.

• The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Reporting team to ensure maintenance of all Financial Reporting Systems, Data Management (SAP, BI, BPC etc.) and delivery of required reporting to Shareholders and Exco. Additional focus will be to assist in Financial year end preparation and management of Annual Financial Audit and creation of Financial Statements.

Description of responsibilities:

• Function as the gatekeeper for compliance to all regulatory concerns (accounting standards, tax legislation, export and import guidelines, and internal policies) within the Finance environment.
• This requires continuous alignment between external parties (e.g. local auditors) as well as internal developments (e.g. controlling and asset management) as well as continuous focus on training and keeping up to date with ever changing legislation.
• The Reporting Manager will lead specific group wide activities like month-end or year-end closing, and standard reporting.
• The Reporting Manager will assist in the process to plan, direct and coordinate activities for all responsibilities within the Asset management and International reporting environment.
• The role needs to maximize relevant compliance at all times, drive Best Practise principles and continuous business improvement in the various aspects of this role.

Details:
1. To implement, improve and maintain governance, policies and processes with regard to relevant business area, ensuring best practice enhancements are implemented where appropriate.
? Continually review and update the processes relating to the Reporting area
? Identify opportunities to improve processes and tools used within Corporate Finance (in alignment)
? Implement monthly control checks on relevant processes to ensure effectiveness

2. Ensure compliance with the processes, tools and regulatory/international guidelines:
The above relates to all responsibilities within the following areas:
? Financial and Management Reporting (IFRS closing, group wide reporting within Shareholder and LBU)
? Management of Audit findings
? Financial reporting guidelines (Local GAAP and IFRS)
? Normal company tax
? VAT
? Company’s act
? Internal guidelines and policies

3. Annual Financial Reporting
? Assist in Financial Year end preparation and annual external Audit
? Drafting of Annual Financial statements inline with regulatory requirements prior to Auditor review and sign-off

4. Management of the reporting team to ensure delivery of:
? Monthly reporting (Shareholder, EXCO and local Management)
? Financial and Budgeting Systems maintenance and enhancements (SAP, BPC etc)

Qualifications and experience required:

• SAP experience – Preferred
• Intermediate Excel experience – Compulsory
• Relevant Tertiary requirement / recognition of prior learning – Compulsary
• At minimum a BComm Finance – Compulsary
• CA qualification – Preferred
• 4 to 6 years Job relevant experience – Compulsary
• 2 to 5 years Audit experience – Compulsary
• 2 to 5 years IT experience – Preferred
