ROLE DESCRIPTION
Monitoringprimary site(s) and distributions points, including the critical OS services and also the status ofthe SCCM site components. Keeping on the success rate of the software deployments andtroubleshooting mayor installation errors. Configuring the deployments in a way that is easy andtolerant on the end user. Securing the infrastructure by carefully dividing the SCCM server rolesbetween the affected servers, scheduling the maintenance tasks to avoid Collusion of these tasks inorder to run the site at top performance. Managing the site backup (including database and OSbackups of the primary site)..
The System Center Operation Manager (SCOM) Engineer isresponsible for managing and maintaining the global enterprise SCOM platform.  The SCOMplatform within all customers is the “single pane of glass” for monitoring alltechnology systems and applications globally. The SCOM Engineer will be responsible forcollaborating with Windows and Linux systems engineers, application technical support analysts anddevelopers, internal and external support teams, both offshore and internal, to determinerequirements for filters, events, alerts, and dashboards and reporting in various monitoring tools.This role also has responsibility for supporting the other System Center components includingConfiguration Manager, Service Manager and Orchestrator, as necessary.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Analyze and evaluate existing SCCM configurations and strategy
Determine and implementbest practices for the engineering, configuration, administration, and support of SCCM
Design and implement business applications/packages into the SCCM application framework
Assist desktop engineering with SCCM Windows desktop OS deployment and automated buildprocesses, including performance tuning
Provide extensive troubleshooting in theinstallation and configuration of SCCM; diagnose SCCM desktop deployment issues (defects, errors,inconsistencies in system function, outputs, etc.) and perform root cause analyses
Remediate issues through controlled and organized incident management processes
Designand implement software packaging and patching strategies for windows desktops
Assist in theconversion of existing automated deployment tools and processes into SCCM
Produce basicproject plans and root cause analysis documents; report progress to management • Developpartnerships and collaborate with key support, architecture, engineering, and security teams
Provide internal team support, guidance, and mentorship with the engineering and support ofSCCM
Develop future state strategies, roadmaps for SCCM
Perform administrativetasks from the Operation Manager console, provide application support for the SCOM platform andcreate and maintain monitoring and notification rules
 Review and update SCOM consolesecurity, apply patches, create SCOM console roles and reviews, and create and install customManagement Packs (MP) as needed
 Deliver SCOM views via Remote Desktop Web Access,create custom reports on results of SCOM monitoring, using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)technologies, and provide problem resolution for SCOM components and related custom scripts
Utilize verbal and written communication skills to maintain accurate system documentation andprovide training as required
Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicatingand managing customer expectations
Identify and communicate ways to leverage technology tocreate business value and become more effective and efficient
Work with project managersand peers to understand and solve challenging technical problems, produce effort estimates, andimprove system functionality, reliability and reduce costs
Work closely with peers andmanagement, emphasizing collaboration and joint effort to ensure that the needs and expectations oforganizational stakeholders, business partners, external customers, and third party organizationsare met and/or exceeded
Ensure all customers has monitoring screens built and up inDOC
Oversee the rollout of monitoring software updates.
Oversee the rollout of newand updated monitoring scripts.
Identify, research, and resolve technical problemsassociated to monitoring systems.
Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requestsfor technical support associated to monitoring systems. Document, track, and monitor the incident toensure a timely resolution.
Manage the installation of new software releases, systemupgrades, and patch installs that resolves monitoring related software problems.
 Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of monitoring systems.
 Develop and update RTS documentation for assigned OSS applications and systems.
Routinely review monitoring systems and services to ensure stability and security.
Assist in interpretation of diagnostic data obtained from monitoring solutions.
Provideescalation support to Implementation team for standard monitoring implementation.
Provideimplementation support for custom monitoring orders.
Delegate duties and tasks within theteam
Review completed tasks to ascertain compliance with standards.
Monitor allteam members and provide necessary advice and guidance.
Coach all team members and motivatethem to produce desired results.
Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving informationtechnology industry.
Perform regular IT audit to discover areas of weaknesses and fortifythem.
