Job Purpose:This job specification is for the role of a Junior Project Manager in the Treasury and Capital Management IT area.
The responsibility of this area is the support of Business in calculating Regulatory & Economic Capital for Standard Bank Group.
A Project manager is needed to run with CTB and RTB projects.
Key Accountabilities:
Establish close relationships with all stakeholders that are involved in the projects.
Meet regularly with management, project teams, and functional team leaders to review status, make recommendations, and resolve problems.
Work with Project team to manage/monitor deliverables and milestones as defined in the WBS/project schedule.
Work with Project team to identify and communicate potential risks and mitigation plans
Support the team in performing cost/benefit analysis for change requests and determine impact of proposed changes.
Understand the business environment, its challenges and how TCM IT will provide business benefits.
Understand the System Development Life Cycle(s) of the solution being provided to the client on the project.
Create and maintain prescribed project management artifacts throughout the life cycle of the engagement.
Ensure that all artifacts produced on the project are located in either a Sharepoint subject to appropriate configuration management.
Promote recognition of employee accomplishments.
Experience with coordinating testing efforts
Coordinating roll out schedule
Handling communications with business
Preferred Qualification and Experience:
IT Degree/ or equivalent commercial experience
Prince II
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise:
Junior PM with excellent skills
Must be outcome and results oriented and willing to be flexible with implementation approaches based on team strengths
Must be collaborative
Must be a self-starter with good Agile experience in large corporations
Must be flexible and adaptable to dynamic environment
Must be able to work with volatile team with vendors and demanding stakeholders
Must be a very fast learner
