Description

Leading Group based in Midrand is seeking a Senior Support Engineer with Cisco experience to provide on-site support of current Network Infrastructure including servers, VMware networking environment
Key areas of focus will include:
Standby Duty
Assist with IT projects
Assist with DR and Hosted server environment planning and support e.g. networking and security
Documents of all infrastructure and Architecture
Assist in the on boarding process of all in-house development applications
Assist technical pre-sales in evaluating the customer infrastructure (design, stability, capability, etc.)
 
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing to work after hours
Must be willing to work standby
Must have own transport

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Min 8-10 years Networking, Security and Server support experience
LAN and WAN concepts (Cisco Preferred)
Firewalls (Fortigate will be an advantage)
San Storage (NetApp, Hitachi, Xiotech will be an advantage)
Virtualization (VMWare will be an advantage)
Wireless (Cisco will be an advantage)
Backup architecture (Backup Exec and Netback will be an advantage)
Leadership skills
Proxy Design
VoIP knowledge (Cisco Unified Call Manager /Cisco Unity connection / Cisco Unified Enterprise attendance Console / Genesys Contact Centre Administration/ VMWare / Linux / CiMC/ Libra Voice Recording / Telephone Management Reporting / G711 / G729/ SIP)

Essential:
Strong Security architecture
Installation and support of Cisco 3750x and 6500 switches
Installation and support of Wireless devices and Wireless Security
Installation and support of Fortigate Firewalls
Strong knowledge and Windows AD 2003, 2008,2012
