Role details:
Our client, a leading Telecoms Company, is looking for a suitably qualified Executive within their Sales Operations function. The successful incumbent would be responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating all sales, business development, client retention, operational support and field marketing across the Wholesale, Independent & LCD channels and Organisational regions. The incumbent would be based in Johannesburg. This role is similar to a COO and successful candidates must have very strong sales experience with exceptional operational and strategic experience. The role is open to all candidates, BEE & non-BEE.

Lead and direct the Wholesale, Independent and Sales team to the achievement of regional sales targets
Lead and direct the Regional sales teams to the achievement of Informal, Formal Retail and Petroleum sales targets
Lead and direct regional managers (sales and operations)
Formulate sales and customer retention campaigns
Consult with and advise the MD : on the development of sales objectives, strategy and budgets
Improve customer retention across all Channels above
Analyse regional reports to identify opportunities and threats
Formulate short/long term strategies to capitalise on opportunities and neutralise threats
Ensure the utilisation of MIS for all sales and prospecting related activities
Manage all sales processes across all channels within the Informal portfolio
Ensure that all operational processes are optimised.
Ensure that the highest service delivery levels are maintained within the regional support teams, including Client Relationship Consultants and Technical Service Consultants
Determine staffing requirements
Manage direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
Monitor staff performance including performance reviews; set employee goals and objectives; develop staff to maximise potential
Co-ordinate and manage financial budget activities for maximum operational efficiency.
Review performance data (financial, sales and prospecting activity reports) to track adherence to budgets.
Ensure the adherence to company policy and relevant legislation
