CORE DESCRIPTION:

Responsible to drive direction, definition and alignment of the IT architecture strategies, principles, policies and standards in alignment with the IT strategy and governing their use; coordinates with project teams to create, document, assess and/or validate the application and infrastructure solution designs for specific systems. The role is also responsible for the research, evaluation, and selection of application, technology, and infrastructure standards.

KEY DELIVERABLES / PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for assessing, defining and championing the IT architecture strategies, principles, policies and standards in alignment with the IT strategy and governing their use
• Coordinates with project teams to create, document, assess and/or validate the application and infrastructure solution designs for specific systems
• Collaborating with key strategic partners to innovate new approaches that enable our IT vision
• Translate business strategy into Technology strategy & ensure that new capabilities required by the business are supported
• Provide strategic direction on EA capability, standards, principles and patterns, ensure coherent architecture and enforce governance
• Responsible for roadmaps for integration technologies (current and future)
• Align the IT architecture roadmap and IT organization's strategies with business imperatives
• An all-rounder, with technical understanding, and is on how systems can work together effectively
• Use understanding of digital technologies to develop new ideas and insights
• Understand the abilities of digital technologies, and translate them into new ideas and strategies for the organization
• Responsible for strategic initiatives in the Integration space (such as cloud mobile and IOT integrations, etc.)
• Responsible to maintain the Integration Capabilities Model and the Integration Reference Architecture
• Conduct Integration Assessments for all assigned projects
• Provide detailed architectural solution design to delivery teams
• Conduct integration architecture design review
• Lead POCs and foundational projects end-to-end


EXPERIENCE:

• 7 years’ experience managing complex technical projects.
• Experience with Integration software; TIBCO preferred.
• Experience with programming languages, testing procedures, and similar activities related to the software development lifecycle preferred.
• Extensive project planning and implementation experience to prioritize work activities and accomplish project goals within set timeframes.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 yr (NQF 7) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• Master’s degree (NQF8) in a technical discipline preferred.
