ERP Business Analyst sought to join privately owned, global leader with production plants, distribution centers, and offices located in over 45 countries across 5 continents. Our client is an international company with a family business ethos that relies on the expertise of its employees to thrive. Their global footprint and cutting-edge business operations necessitated a complex ERP System which has been internally developed and is operational in all countries across the globe. They are looking for a Business Analyst, based in South Africa, who will form part of the enterprise IT ERP team and play a key role in identifying, analysing and positioning opportunities to innovate business processes, develop new business capabilities and improve business performance. The successful incumbent will act as an extension of the business user, augmenting the business’ capacity to realize projects by capturing, contextualizing and communicating business requirements in a language and format that facilitates project team member understanding. This will include capturing and refining business requirements and developing the business case to justify projects. Once a project is approved, you will be involved in the full delivery cycle including, design, development, testing and operationalization. You will work closely with clients, architects, the development team and managers and lead the business requirements gathering process including capturing, documenting and validating the business requirements. It will fall to you to ensure that project deliverables meet the business requirements; provide detailed answers to project team questions in relation to business requirements; review project deliverables to ensure they are evolving in line with the requirements; identify and documents test cases to ensure solutions will perform under production conditions; accompany Business Users during their acceptance tests; validate all test results; help refine the business analysis methodology, processes and tools. To apply you should have a relevant degree (MSc preferred) coupled with a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in an ERP and applications (Finance and HR) environment. You will need a demonstrated track record of participating in the delivery of technology-based solutions and a proven ability to identify and formalize business needs, convert them into instances of use, user case histories and/or test cases. The role requires experience in in the development of IT project costs, risks and ROI assessments and the successful candidate should be well versed in the Microsoft environment including SharePoint, Team Foundation Server, MS Project, etc. This position will will suit someone with has excellent communication skills coupled with extensive knowledge of business analyst professional practices and strategic business acumen to influence, persuade and initiate change. You will need to have the ability to set priorities and to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment with a high stress tolerance; an extensive background in a collaborative, team-run environment; and good judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive situations. It will call on your analytical and information processing, and problem-solving skills as well as your excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to be fluent in English (oral and written) and it will be a definite advantage if you are equally fluent in French. Do you value passion, collaboration, innovation, and autonomy?
